The Primary Stars project uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
Available to every primary school in England and Wales, it inspires girls and boys aged 5-11 in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field. The project is aimed at Primary Schools in both England and Wales and works with over 90 professional football clubs. The trust is currently in their 2nd year of delivering on the Premier League Primary Stars project.
Part of the project involves working closely with primary school teachers who require support and guidance in the delivery of football during PE lessons. The trust will work with 13 teachers from 9 different schools in Gloucestershire. By the 8 of the week period the teachers will have an increased knowledge and confidence in delivering a high quality football PE lesson.
The trust will work with 6 primary schools in Gloucestershire to deliver targeted interventions to improve children’s motivation to complete physical exercise. We will work with each school for a 12-week period. By the end of the 12-week period children should have an increased motivation and enjoyment levels while completing physical exercise.
During the 2nd year of funding the trust will also deliver lunch time drop in sessions, tournaments, collapsed curriculum days, CPD events and much more.
As a Trust we would like to thank the Premier League for given us the opportunity to deliver these exciting projects.
